The significance of the matzah was during our ancestor's travels from Egypt they had no time to bake their bread. They took their dough and left and when they traveled the dough turned into, what we call today matzah. During the sedar, the host or an adult breaks a piece of matzah in half and hides it this is called the afikomen, and whoever finds it usually wins a prize. This is a big part of my childhood like many other Jewish children and it always gave something for me to look forward to after the sedar and excited me.
