The chametz is anything that leavened for Passover, and is forbidden.  Even sourdough, which answers a big question we all have (why did the Jews not bring sourdough into the desert?).  Now is our chance to write down some personal chametz - some personal pharoahs - things holding us back -  of which we wish to be rid. When everyone is finished, we will put our chametz in a bowl and burn them (if you have the capability for that).  Would anyone like to share their chametz?

Together we recite the blessing for burning chametz:

Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha’olam, asher kidshanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu al biur chametz.
