We can come up with interpretations for the meaning of the Afikomen. We must reunite with the hidden part of ourselves or something to be whole. Or?

Afikomen is usually translated as "dessert," because it's the last thing we eat at the seder. But what kind of dessert is this, a little shtikl of matzah? Our seder is modeled on the Greek symposium; but we didn't follow the model precisely. At this point in the Greek symposium they would have the Afikomen, which is the "after dinner entertainment." Dancing girls, etc. We eat matzah instead to convey the message that we're not going quite that far in copying the Greek symposium. Sorry, those of you who were hoping for naked dancing girls!
