If you were raised Jewish, chances are you remember looking for the Afikomen towards the end of the night. I used to think that it's only purpose was to keep the younger kids -Like myself- occupied and interested (Similar to those coloring pages). Somehow, it is always hidden quite well yet, someone was always able to find it with ease. Recently, I have been introduced to a knew philosophy, that the act of searching for the Afikomen is to represent G-d searching for the Jews. I find this particularly intriguing when it comes to this story. It feels as though G-d is there the whole time. You see G-d doing so much yet, this is implying that sometimes, G-d was searching and we didn't notice.
