Tonight we gather together virtually, spread all across the world, to celebrate Passover, our holiday of freedom. This year, we cannot be physically together. Even though our meals may be eaten separately, we can still enjoy four glasses (at least!) of wine, and tell the story of our ancestors’ liberation from slavery in Egypt. Tonight, no matter who you are or where you come from, all are welcome to reflect with us on the meaning of freedom in all our lives and histories. Tonight, we will consider the blessings in our lives, pledge to work harder at freeing those who still suffer, and begin to cast off the things in our own lives that oppress us.
