Long ago, at this season, a people - our people set out on a journey.

On such a night as this , Israel went forth from degredation to joy.

We give thanks for the liberations of days gone by.

And we pray for all those who are still bound still denied their human rights.

May all who hunger come to rejoice in a new Passover.

Let all the human family sit together and drink the wine of deliverance, eat the bread of freedom.

KINDLE THE LIGHTS

Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha'olam asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav, v'tzivanu l'hadlik ner shel Yom Tov.

Blessed are you, eternal one, who commands us to kindle the holiday lights,

Barukh ha-or ba-olam
Barukh ha-or ba-adam
Barukh ha-ror ba-Pesakh

Blessed is the light in the world.
Blessed is the light within humanity.
Blessed is the light of Passover.
