It's time to dip our parsley (representing spring and new growth), into salt water (representing tears of the ancestors).

Spring is springing around us, yet this year we mostly stay inside.

This year, let's find gratitude that we can leave our home at all, even for short walks, to enjoy nature blooming in our neighborhood.

This year, let's send thoughts of comfort and love those who cannot, those of us who are confined to hospital beds, whose tears are bitter indeed.

Rise up, my love,
my fair one, and come away!
For now the winter is past,
the rains are over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
The time of singing has come.
The song of the dove is heard in our land.

The standing corn grows ripe,
as the dew-drops bring their blessing:
food for the hungry,
healing for the sick.
The grapevines blossom,
as the heavens yield their dew.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה

Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, borei p’ree ha-adama.

We praise God, Ruler of Everything, who creates the fruits of the earth.
