1. There is a nice minhag to bring the washing cup etc ... to Father and Mother at the table so they don't have to leave the seder table in order to wash. that is for two reasons.

1a. to show appriciation to our parents that worked so hard to put the seder table togther.

1b.to help our parents feell like a king and queen at their table.

2. The need to wash hands [netilat yadaim], before eating veggies that are dipped in water was only a halachick requiermrnt in time of Beit Hamikdash... when we kept all the lawes of Tomaa and Taharah. the reason we do it on seder night only in or time is to make us think of the Beit Hamikdash time as the Mikdash played such an important rulle at the pessach holiday - The Korban Pesach. Many things that we do during the Seder night comes to remind us of the mikdash and hint to Hashem that we are trying to keep things as close to the way they used tp be in the mikdash as possible for us.
