We might have particulaly uniquely shaped hands in the animal kingdom, but we're certainly not the only ones who like to wash them with water.

Raccoons.

Current best guess about the notorious raccoon food-washing behavior is that it hightens sensitivity in thier already sensitive little hands. (Or it's a fixed action pattern that makes more sense in the context of them normally foraging in streams with thier hands.)
